Runs in your browser

How to use it

  1. Enter the values from your syllabus, gradebook, notes, or plan.
  2. Check that percentages and totals use the same scale.
  3. Select Calculate and read the note below your result.
  4. Adjust a value to compare a different scenario.

How the calculation works

Multiply each grade point by its credits, add those quality points, then divide by total credits.

Example

A 4.0 in a 3-credit course and 3.0 in a 4-credit course gives (12 + 12) ÷ 7 = 3.43.

Tips for a more useful result

  • Use exact figures instead of rounded values when they are available.
  • Check your course handbook for institution-specific scales and rules.
  • Treat estimates as planning aids, especially when future scores are unknown.

Common questions

Does this save my information?

No. The calculation happens in your browser and the values are not stored.

Can I use the result for official decisions?

Use it as a planning estimate, then check your institution’s grading rules or assignment instructions.

What should I do if my result looks wrong?

Check every value, unit, and weight. Empty or zero totals can make a calculation impossible.
